Movie Night: Nightmare Before Christmas!

Happy Happy Halloween Everybody! 

What a spooky yet exciting time it is to be a kid! Tricks and treats with thrills and chills are awaiting you as the night creeps up fast! And why not, it Halloween! Let's put on your best scary face and have a scarlingly good time...hahaha...muhahaha!!!!  Speaking of thrills and chills, what better way to bring in this horrifying day then with the Movie Of The Week called...."The Night Before Christmas!" Oogie Boogie, Sally, and the Pumpkin King himself Jack Skellington with his trusty ghost dog Zero have come here to give the best Halloween ever! All you have to do is sit back, turn off all the lights, and enjoy!

The Movie:

Halloween town is full of witches, monsters, vampires, ghouls, and goblins who each year is lead into a frenzy with spooktastic and teeth chattering events from Pumpkin King Jack Skellington! Year after year they babble in joy of the festivities of this annual occasion. However, after years of the same ruse, Jack decides this year he wants to try to do something....different. Upon wondering through a forest, he stumbles on a portal that leads him to a place called Christmas Town! Bewitched by this finding, he concludes he will try his bones at this thing called Christmas though, he knows very little of it. Sally, a rag-doll who is in love with Jack, tries to steer him away from the idea fearing that it will only end up in disaster but, he in his excitement, doesn't listen. As a result he sends Lock, Shock, and Barrel (three mischievous kids) out to get Santa Claus to find out more about this holiday. However, instead of bringing Santa back to him Lock, Shock, and Barrel bring him back to Oogie Boogie a gambling bogeyman who shakes things up for Jack Skellington as he decides to play a game... with Santa's life on the line! Things get real slimy from here! What will happen to Santa? What's Oogie up to and is Jack Skellington the great Pumpkin King going to get his wish of creating a amazing Christmas event? You have to watch the movie to figure it out!

Movie Night: The Prince of Egypt.....

"When you believe......"

  Hello you all! 

It's that time again! The time where we sit down and take a look at which movie's going to be your movie of the week! This week, I have chosen a movie that is brave, thrilling, and also spectacular! What movie is it? *Drum roll*........The Prince of Egypt! It is a little different from your previous choices but, it wouldn't exciting if you didn't see it right?! Besides, isn't it always fun trying something new?!

In the movie, The Prince Of Egypt, it tells the story of Moses a man taken from the Book Of Exodus ( say it with me: X-O-DA-US) and his life as a prince turned leader that will free his people the Hewbrews, out Israel (Is-Ra-El) to Egypt. In the beginning a terrible event is happening where all the male infants are being harmed to avoid Pharaoh Seti, the ruler at that time, from being taken down he feels is going to happen from the increase of male Hewbrews being born. He was successful however he missed one, and that one happened to be Moses. His mother to save him put him in a basket and sent him down a stream only to be found by Queen Tuya, Seti's wife, who raises him and thus gives him his name we know him by. It would be only 20 years later from that event that Moses would find out his true identity would in the end, change his life forever as he is set on freeing his people the Hewbrews, that were being treated poorly. From there, he and his adopted brother Pharaoh Rameses relationship will torn as they fight on two different sides: keeping the Hebrews enslaved or letting them go free. Only time will tell if their relationship can be prepared but you have to see it to figure it out!

The Prince of Egypt is really great and is a must for this week! It won an Oscar (which is a really fancy award) so why wouldn't it be great and the perfect movie! My nephew Bobbi looovvves Disney's Cars and so do I so when He and I realized Cars 2 was coming on Disney Channel yesterday, we couldn't help but watch! It turned out to be a really great movie! So in honor of Bobbi and I's love for Cars the series, I am posting something I think both of us will enjoy!

Cars Bath Blastin Finn McMissile a British Spy who can be seen in the movie Cars 2, is the ultimate master spy with an assorted number of cool moves and tricks for quick escapes and smooth captures! He can swim like a submarine, float like a boat, and even ride the waves like one too as you play with in any tub or pool! McMissile can even stick to your tub, pool, and wall like a spider! All you have to do to power him up is to pull his kid-powered string and he is ready to go! It will then be a breeze for Finn to speed threw evil minion targets included thanks to his spinning hydro-turbo tire propellers powered on once you pull that string! I know Bobbi will enjoy his Finn McMissile toy for his birthday as his birthday is right around the corner just like I know you will :-) ! All this fun is available to you with a simple click below!

Movie of the Week: The Swan Princess....

"For longer than forever....."

What happens when you have an evil enchanter who is bent on overtaking a kingdom, a princess, a swan, and a prince who will go to the ends of the Earth to find you? You get...the Swan Princess. This movie, a classic movie, is something my siblings and I heavily watched when we were younger. We always use to camp out in the living room to watch it and see what was going to happen (even though we knew after the 10th sitting), as Princess Odette would go from a beautiful young maiden into a swan as the sun would set thanks to sorcerer Rothbart cursing her all in hopes that she would one day marry him. Rothbart, as you will see in the film, wants to be King and the only way to be that is for Odette's hand in marriage yet, she always refuses. Odette on the other hand, is waiting patiently for the day Prince Derek, her true love, will come and save her. The only problem with this is that everyone thinks she has died. After a mysterious "great animal" has killed Odette's father King William, Queen Uberta's Prince Derek's mother has moved on (despite her and the King planning to wed the two), and is now attempting to marrying him off despite his refusal. He has restlessly been on the look for Odette dispite his mother's thoughts. From here, you will see the magic of this movie unfold! In this movie you can expect a lot of high flying action, adventure, and a heaping dose of unforgettable songs that will have you routing for a happy ending! Now I can't tell you all that is in store, that is up to you to figure out! "Have no fear" as you watch the Swan Princess for your Movie of the Week! Movie Night: The Incredibles.....

Want a heroic movie that everyone can enjoy? Well you are in for a treat because I have the perfect movie for your weekend night! It is called: The Incredibles! It is an action packed story of a former superhero and his desire to get back into the scene. As you watch this movie, you get to enjoy Bob Parr's incredible journey from ordinary citizen to the crime fighting hero of his golden yesteryears! It starts off with him and his wife Helen also known as Elastigirl, getting married. Their wonderful day however gets interrupted when a crime occurs and Mr. Incredible aka Bob Parr has to save the day! In the process though he causes damage to the city. And as a result of him and countless other supers before him causing large amounts of damage, the people start to hold the supers-- people with extraordinary gifts, responsible. In the end as an attempt to ease the anger of the citizens, the super powered people by force, turn in their caps and masks to live regular lives. Fast forward 15 years into the future, Bob and Helen are living a successful "normal" life while raising their three children Violet, Dash, and baby JackJack. With their simple, normal, and easy life the ever heroic Bob Parr starts to become very very bored. It eventually leads him to once again and secretly from his wife, venture into a life of justice along with his super cool super powered friend Lucius aka Frozone! It isn't too long after though that he is discovered by a woman named Mirage who gives him an opportunity that he doesn't refuse: the chance to become Mr.Incredible again! In taking this offer, it not only leads him back into his passion but also, into a world wind of adventures that will soon have his whole family in on it. What happens next is something that you are going to have to discover  for yourself! So grab a seat, your weekend movie night snack, and your favorite buddy as you watch The Incredibles for your viewing pleasure! 

Movie Night: The Little Mermaid.....

A talking fish, a crab with a bad attitude, a seagull who knows all about human thing-a-ma-bobs, one overprotective father, plus an evil sea witch, and I think you have yourself the perfect Saturday night movie! Who would have thought falling in love with a human and just wanting to spend a day warm on the sand could be so bad? Ariel sure didn't think so! In The Little Mermaid, you discover Ariel a 16 year old princess who is adventurous and fun. You also discover she has a habit of going against her father's orders. She has dreams of being part of a world out of the sea. And to be apart of it, she has to be human as she is in love with one. However, when King Triton, her father, finds out she is in love with a human named prince Eric,  he becomes very angry destroying all of her human trinkets. In return, as an effort to strike out against him, she makes a deal with a sea witch name Ursula, feeling it is her only way to truly have her wish come true of becoming human. She in the end gives up her voice in return for 3 days with prince Eric who has to fall in love with her or she belongs to Ursula.....forever! It only gets better and better after that accompanied with great songs to get you by! So grab a seat, your favorite meal, and your favorite pet fish as you sit down and watch Disney's The Little Mermaid as your weekend movie! 

Movie Night: Willy The Sparrow.....

Chim Cha Chim Cha Chim Cher-ee is probably what you are going to be saying after seeing the movie: Willy the Sparrow! This Hungarian movie later released in English tells a story of a boy named Willy who is turned into a sparrow after attempting to harm a group of sparrows with his bb gun by sparrow guardian Sparina. She by doing this teaches him to respect all creatures whether big or small as well to be kind and respectful. He learns a lot along the way even helping a sparrow by the name of Cipur how to read. Though he is faced with many obstacles as a sparrow, he comes out of this a kinder and better kid making you by the end of this film, want to be apart of the sparrow world! So for my Friday night movie choice, I choose Willy in Willy The Sparrow!

Have you ever wanted to go on a magic carpet ride, travel to distance lands in search of golden lamps with your pet monkey Abu, and befriend a genie that can grant all your wishes? Well with Aladdin you get just that! It's a classic Disney movie that gives all of this and more. A "whole new world" is awaiting you along with some popcorn and your best friend.  Gone on and watch the movie to see for yourself! It wouldn't be a fun movie if I told you everything know would it!?
