"Proud Familyyyyy....."
By far past or present, The Proud Family was and still is one of the most funniest children's shows to date. It was surprising to see this urban themed show on the Disney Channel and for it to do so well. It proved to be a very good choice for Disney and as a result, it brought a lot of kids who didn't watch them before, running home to see what was happening in 14 year old Penny Proud's life. Penny Proud, the main character, along with her family and friends ( Dijonay, Sticky, and LaCeinega just to name a few) found themselves humorously and quite often, in a lot of situations that were common with a lot of people, but put in a very dramatic and sometimes exaggerated way. For Example, the time Penny wished her two baby siblings Bebe and Cece become teenagers so she would not have to watch them and her wish coming true. Or the time when Penny and her friends became an all female singing group and Penny became the break out star and became "all about [her]." Stories like these made the show a must watch. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, The Proud Family movie came break dancing to a TV near you and boy was it epic! Aahh... the good old days! Never mind me though!
